You want to bear much fruit?

Your roots must be greater.

You want to withstand the storms of life?

Your roots must be stronger.

You want to flourish amidst times of drought?

Your roots must be deeper.

You want to stretch your branches to the skies?

Your roots must stretch lower.

You want to bear fruit that is sweet to the taste?

Your roots must not be poisoned.

 

You oh Nation long to be unified and bear much fruit once again?

 

Your roots must dig deep into the soils of history where life once began;

Your roots must grow strong in love and honor to withstand—

Your roots must search again for the hidden streams of the Father;

And your roots must not be poisoned by enmity towards your neighbor.

 

ROOTS are where healing starts.

Dig deep yet again.

Restore what was broken.

Unity breathed from hidden places;

And bring to LIGHT,

The Restoration for this Nation.
