I commit to love You today
until I can be face to face with You tomorrow.
I want my love for You to be my driving force in this life,
be the reason that I breathe and act, say and do.
From that place of my heart will I move forward in this life,
but from that place I will never depart.
This life has no meaning apart from loving You.
I have been down that road before;
there is no peace, there is no hope, there is no life in that path.
My Star-Crossed Lover,
You have crossed the stars because of Your love for me.
Let me cross the canyons of my heart to deliver my devotion to You.
For You make me soar high into the heavens because of Your Presence.
You make me crawl to my knees because of Your weighty Glory.
You make my heart sing in rebirth over and over again as I am undone by Your Presence.
Oh to fix my gaze on Your face and never turn away,
to look deep into those pools of Love that set my heart aflame,
to bask deeply in the rivers of Your Peace,
and to rest tenderly in the Arms that have laid it all down for me.
Lord let my heart never stray from Yours.
Let my soul taste the fresh gift of Your Presence every morning,
and let the revelation of Your love for me confound my mind at every level.
As soon as my cup has filled, overflow it to empty again so that my thirsty heart may seek to be filled by You over and over again.
And so I commit to love You again and again today–
That I might find myself in Your Arms for tomorrow.
