Must I Wait Still My Dear?

Lord I long to move on to new things,

Am I worthy to unleash this dream-

That is burning within to be set free?

I cannot remain in this portion forever,

My back has been bent from the pressure,

And my heart straining with fissures.

I was created to sing my heart song-

And to stay in others dreams feels so wrong,

Let me step into this life You have made-

For I long to run towards the things that I crave-

And feel the freedom of Your Spirit fresh everyday.

Let my life awaken to the reason I am here-

I will not just cower beneath the blanket of fear,

Nor waste anymore more time in frivolous games,

For I was created to worship and proclaim- 

With the song of my life–Your great and Holy Name.

For I can feel my future close and pressing so near-

Let Your answer be yes, rather than wait still My dear.
