What can words say?
Like a drop in a bucket, can they overflow the ocean?
Can they change the current of history’s commotion?
Does it reach beyond iron walls erected in men?
Can it heal the broken hearts longing to mend?
WORDS.
What can words do?
Words that cut like the blade of a knife-
Can vanquish a home in one single swipe.
They bring down cities in utter destruction,
And build with the same lips a brand new construction.
WORDS.
What words are true?
Can words change a nation back to origin’s zeal?
To remember the past and teach future to heal?
Words that aren’t dripped in cunning and greed,
But filled with such love through action and deed.
WORDS.
What will your words be?
Will they strengthen a heart to face giants again?
Or teach youths to follow their Savior and Friend?
Will they speak wisdom through currents of love
That comes from the heart of Him Whose above?
WORDS.
What words will you choose to release here today-
That will become the foundations of tomorrow’s pathway?
For in the Bible it says that words are like honey-
Both sweet to the soul and health to the body.
So I charge you my friends with this final word-
Let His Voice through your lips be the one that is heard.
